Took my daughters, 6yr and 10yr to Gulmarg for the first time - was a little skeptical and apprehensive initially, but had an incredibly enjoyable experience. It’s a gorgeous place, with limited infrastructure which is charming in its own way .. but I think what made it such a fantastic holiday was Yanik Sturgeon and his colleagues at SkiGulmarg. Incredibly professional, keen attention to detail, very thoughtful and fabulous service even before we set foot in Gulmarg. Yanik, though not physically present when we went ( early January) ensured everything was organised and worked like clockwork. His instructors Jeelani and Wazim, and the wonderful helper Manzour were incredible - great instructors, very reliable and wonderful people. My kids had a great time, my 10yr old came down Phase1 all alone with Wazim and my girls were looked after so well by Manzour. I’ll definitely make this an annual event and would highly recommend Yanik and team to anyone thinking about skiing in Gulmarg. Thanks for everything from all of us !
Deepak RamachandraSnowboarding in Gulmarg Kashmir has always been on my bucketlist and Yanik helped me to realise the dream. He was very professional and patient throughout the whole process of planning the trip, gave very detailed information and everything went to plan beautifully. He even checked on me via email throughout the stay to make sure that everything was OK. I was lucky to meet him in person on the day of my arrival as he was also in town for the season.
Special shoutout to the guide Anees Bhat who was assigned to me. He was professional, punctual and extremely patient. Most importantly, it was always safety first for him. He was extremely experienced and well connected, so he could always sort you out for things outside of snowboarding. Not to mention also extremely friendly and good spoken English.
Highly recommended services and guide. I thought this would be a one-off trip but looks like I'll have to come back again as soon as I can.
