Choosing the Right Flights

Major North American airports like New York (JFK), Los Angeles (LAX), Toronto (YYZ) and Montreal (YUL) offer flights to India, with the most common route being to Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) in New Delhi. Airlines like Air India, United, and Emirates provide several options with layovers in cities such as Dubai, London, Frankfurt or Amsterdam.
Once in New Delhi, you’ll need to catch a domestic flight to Srinagar (SXR), the nearest airport to Gulmarg. Airlines such as IndiGo, Air India, and Vistara offer daily flights from New Delhi to Srinagar, with the journey taking about 1.5 hours. We recommend Air India as there is less restriction on luggage and sport equipment.

Transitioning to Kashmir
Upon arriving in Srinagar, the final leg of your journey involves a 1.5 to 25-hour drive to Gulmarg (it all depends on the roads condition of the last 12 km/7.5 miles). All our ski packages include airport transfers. The drive itself is an adventure, with scenic views of the snow-capped mountains and the beautiful Kashmir Valley.
Visa and Entry Requirements
Before you set off, ensure that you have a valid Indian tourist visa. U.S. and Canadian citizens can apply for an e-Tourist Visa online, which is usually processed within a few days. Make sure your passport has at least six months of validity and keep a printed copy of your visa with you.
